Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. (“SCC”), the sole parent company of Sumitomo Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (“the Company”), has entered into a definitive agreement to transfer 66.6% of its equity interest in the Company to JFE Engineering Corporation (“JFE Engineering”). This transaction is anticipated to be completed on March 31, 2025. Upon the consummation of this transfer, the Company will continue its operations as a subsidiary of JFE Engineering, and a corresponding change to its trade name is planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its incorporation in 1964, the Company has established a solid track record in the engineering and construction of plants both domestically and internationally, spanning sectors such as petrochemicals, fine chemicals, electronic materials, and environmental solutions.
