Work Experience:

May2009, till now, Islamic Organization Cooperation Representative in Gaza Strip.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

In accordance with established ICHAD policy & regulations:

Manage the whole operations of the Gaza area including the technical and administrative aspects as follows:

1) Technical responsibilities:

  1.  Supervise the preparation of the strategic & action plans at program & project levels focusing on expected outputs and impact, as well as long term sustainability.
  2.  Manage Gaza office and its staff.
  3.  Prepare sectoral and geographic needs assessments and impact studies for Gaza programs & projects as needs.
  4.  Supervise the program cycle management starting from planning into implementation, evaluation and execution of remedial plans
  5.  Supervise the monitoring and evaluation process at the level of the strategic plan of Gaza office.
  6.  Submit periodic progress reports on performance of Gaza office including programs & projects, administration and finance.
  7.  Confer with beneficiaries as needed.
  8.  Prepare and implement visibility and media plans.
  9.  Confer with donors as needed.

 

 

2) Administrative responsibilities:

 

10. Manage the Human Resources including recruitment staff performance and competency development.

11. Prepare office budget annually and control its expenditure.

12. Safeguard all assets and maintain all related inventory.

13. Adhere to safety and security regulations pertaining to the office and staff.

14. Maintain good book keeping records including staff, equipment, purchases, budget control.

November2007- April2009, Expertise for Consultation and Development Company Director.

Duties included:

  1. Follow-up the company’s administrative staff.
  2. Oversee the progress of work within the company.
  3. Develop plans and projects to obtain funding for the National institutions.
  4. Provide capacity building with (Scaling Salary, Organizational structures, Job analysis, evaluations performance and Administrative service excellence improvements Planning administration, Reporting Skills, Organizational development, Managing documents, records & archiving, Administrative service excellence improvements) for the National institutions.
  5. Leading and directing the consultancy activities.
  6. Provide management advices for NGO’S  in all management aspect as required.
  7. cooperate with Company board to put the strategic plans for the company.

November2007- till now, Partners International Medical Aid (PIMA) Consultant.

Duties included:

  1. Oversee the progress of the projects done by PIMA in Gaza strip.
  2. Develop plans and projects to obtain funding.
  3. Leading and directing the consultancy activities.
  4. Evaluate the proposed projects from the NGO’S
  5. Keeping track of the property budget.

Junne2008-March2009, Takafol job creation program’s General Manager.

Duties included:

  1. Follow-up the program’s administrative staff.
  2. Oversee the progress of work within the program.
  3. Develop plans and build proposals to obtain funding for the program
  4. Leading and directing the program activities.
  5. Preparation of periodic progress Reports and annual reports for takafol program.
  6. Ensure successful implementation of the program’s activities.

June2006- November2007, project coordinator: Capacity Building of Community Colleges at The Community College of Applied Science & Technology (CCAST) funded by the World Bank.

Work aiming to increase the Capacity building of the academic and management employees in the Community Colleges.

Duties included:

  1. Assist the project team in the development of the project plan and the lead operator to process the project plan.
  2. Coordinate all the projects related activities.
  3. Develop and conduct planning and control tools and in use of the tools in the evaluation process of the project activities.
  4. Evaluate status and performance and make recommendations for appropriate corrective action.
  5. Maintaining links with the partner colleges and scheduling the training courses;
  6. Participating in the preparation of periodic progress reports.

 

December2006- November2007, Acting Director of Continuing Education Center: at The Community College of Applied Science & Technology (CCAST)

Duties included:

  1. Ensure successful development of the CEC through preparing and organizing  CEC Activities implementation plan providing follow up and supervision of the CEC activities
  2. Help in recruiting qualified trainers/consultants for the training programs and training courses Preparing and interpreting the financial statements and reports of the CEC;
  3. Preparation of periodic progress Reports and annual reports for CEC activities
  4. Lead the CEC team and ensuring team coherence and motivation
  5. Ensure the successful establishing of Evening studies ( Diploma Level).
  6. Signing Cooperation and partnership with similar centers and NGOS.
  7. Ensure successful implementation of the projects activities under CEC supervision.

  

2005- February, 2006 project manager: Increasing the Understanding of Parliamentary Elections at the Palestinian Association for Human Rights and Democracy supported by Tamkeen, Work aimed to increase voter understanding of the new parliamentary election law

            Duties included            :

  1. Supervision of the various phases of the project.
  2. Reporting to the donor and Board of Administration.
  3. Ensure the implementation of different project activities according to the established procedures and instructions within a time table in an independent and a transparent manner. .
  4. Responsible for Planning, implementation and evaluation of the program activities.

 

April, 2005-September, 2005 Project manager, Civil Education Project at the Palestinian Association for Human Rights and Democracy “Our Rights” supported by Tamkeen, Work aimed to enhance the civic education and concepts of Democracy of the Northern Gaza Governorate preparatory schools students in order to disseminate the civic culture among the Palestinian citizens.

          Duties included:

  1. Supervision of the various phases of the project.
  2. Reporting to the donor and Board of Administration.
  3. Ensure the implementation of different project activities according to the established procedures and instructions within a time table in an independent and a transparent manner.
  4. Responsible for Planning, implementation and evaluation of the program activities.

2004 – April 2005 Project coordinator, Awareness Campaign of local election project, at the Palestinian Association for Human Rights and Democracy “Our Rights funded by Tamkeen. 

Organized 16 public meetings in the middle Gaza governorate.

Coordinated the activities to collect 9000 signatures to demand holding of the elections and the enhancement of the accountability right.

Tasks included: Coordination, implementation, reporting , budgeting,  follow up and evaluation.

2002-2004 Projects Management Unit coordinator at Al-Aqsa Association for the Palestinian students support and care.

Work aimed to support and encourage creative  Palestinian  student Project is helping 330 students in covering some of the university fees. Holding workshops and seminars concerning students special rights and needs.

Worked extensively on Human Rights issues.

In addition, my knowledge of the Palestinian & Arab charities combined with my experience in the society needs adds particular value to service; as does my fluency in both Arabic and English.

I Prepare and deliver several Training courses, as an expert and consultant in Management, HRM, project management, evaluation and monitoring, Voluntary work, leadership, planning, Crises management, delegation skills, negotiation skills, youth empowerment.

I am the author of a number of Articles in Society and NGOS needs and other subjects relating to his core experience and has spoken at a number of conferences and workshops.
